Quick answer: The Elf Bar 5000 (BC5000) faded from U.S. shelves after 2023, when Elf Bar faced FDA import enforcement and rebranded in the U.S. as EBDesign after a trademark dispute. Vapers who loved it mostly moved to longer-lasting rechargeables. The closest picks today are the Lost Mary MO20000 Pro (from Elf Bar’s sister brand, $9.99 on sale), the Geek Bar Pulse 15K ($15.99) and, for maximum puffs, the Geek Bar Pulse X2 50K.

What Happened to the Elf Bar 5000?
The BC5000 was one of the best-selling disposables of its time. Several things pushed it off U.S. shelves:
- FDA enforcement: in 2023 the FDA placed Elf Bar products on an import alert, allowing shipments of unauthorized products to be detained at the border.
- Rebranding: after a trademark dispute, the brand sold in the U.S. under the name EBDesign, so “Elf Bar 5000” stopped appearing on new boxes.
- Market shift: buyers moved to bigger rechargeable devices with screens and far more puffs.
Why Vapers Loved the BC5000
- About 5,000 rated puffs in a small, pocketable body.
- Rechargeable, so you could use every drop of e-liquid.
- 5% nicotine salt for a smooth hit.
- Simple, draw-activated use and popular flavors like Blue Razz Ice and Watermelon Ice.

Best Replacement for Flavor Fans
Lost Mary comes from the same parent company, so its flavors feel familiar. The Lost Mary MO20000 Pro review covers its adjustable wattage and flavor list. At $9.99 on sale, it is also the cheapest like-for-like swap.
Best Replacement for Long Life
If you want fewer reorders, the Geek Bar Pulse line is the natural step up. The Pulse 15K added a screen and Regular/Pulse modes; the Pulse X2 50K goes to 50,000 rated puffs. See which Geek Bars are still available.
Is It Worth Hunting Down Old Stock?
Probably not. Old 5,000-puff devices that still turn up online may be past their best, and a model that left official channels is a common target for copies. A current device from an authorized store gives you a fresh battery, a verified box code and far more puffs for a similar price. If the exact taste matters most, match the flavor name on a current Lost Mary or Geek Bar model and buy a single device first before committing to a 5-pack.
How to Choose Your Replacement
- Match the flavor first. Blue Razz Ice and Watermelon Ice are on most of the devices above.
- Pick a size. If your old 5,000-puff device lasted you a week, a 20K–25K device may last about a month, depending on use.
- Compare cost per puff. Our cost per 1,000 puffs ranking helps.
- Buy authentic. Check the scratch-off code; see how to spot a fake.
